We regret to inform the audience and friends of the Börzsöny Baroque Days that the 2025 festival is cancelled due to personal reasons.
However, we are looking forward to welcoming you for a magnificent orchestral concert, traditionally as part of the Göd Baroque Days:
On Sunday, 24 August at 18.00 in the St. Stephen Church in Göd, the Budapest Bach Consort will perform George Frideric Handel’s Acis and Galatea. This pastoral opera straddles the genres of Italian opera and English oratorio, is one of the most lyrical and endearing works of Baroque music, at once entertaining and deeply moving. Acis and Galatea is not only a musical masterpiece but also a deeply human story of love, grief and the eternal cycle of nature. It is not just enjoyable by the fans of baroque music, but by anyone who loves moving stories and emotionally rich yet accessible performances. The concert features soloists Adriána Kalafszky, Zoltán Megyesi, Péter Molnár, Bálint Franyó and Zsombor Cserményi, the Budapest Bach Consort is lead by Augustin Szokos.
We look forward to welcoming you at this concert on 24 August in Göd, and we hope that next year the Börzsöny Baroque Days can be organised again in the usual way.
